Brooklyn stars Saoirse Ronan in a 1950’s romantic drama set in both Ireland and New York. Ronan plays Ellis Lacey, an Irish immigrant, who has to choose between two guys she has fallen in love with and who happen to be in two different countries. Sounds complicated. One of my fav boy bands, The Wanted, released a statement to their fans today stating that they are taking a break after their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour. Things were getting suspicious when most of the band members began other ventures (modeling, solo single, clothing company, etc) late last year, but the band evaded rumors until now. After releasing the statement, they took to their individual twitters to say that this is not the end. Only time will tell on that front.
In the meantime, they will soon be releasing the video for their newest single, “Glow in the Dark“, an electro-dance track that was, in my opinion, one of the best songs on Word of Mouth. Sigh. Good and bad news all in one. These guys put on an insane live show, so be sure to catch this last tour while you can.

It took a long time, but finally the sophomore album (at least for the US) from The Wanted has arrived. The title, Word of Mouth fits the group perfectly since their popularity has grown through people telling their friends and family about them. This grass roots approach has earned them fans that stayed up all night to download the album the moment it was released digitally as well as fans who staged buy outs across the world. The Wanted have released the tracklisting for their highly anticipated new album, Word of Mouth. It will finally be released on November 4th, 2013 after being pushed back more than once (perfection doesn’t come easy!). The US version varies slightly from the European version in that we get “Glad You Came” (again) instead of “Love Sewn”. Why they did that, I’m not sure, but US fans will be scrambling to grab the other song somehow. You can find the the regular and deluxe tracklisting below.
The group also announced their Word of Mouth World Tour. THE WANTED

If you haven’t heard of The Wanted in the past month then you have probably been living under a rock. The British and Irish boy band just finished their ten-city tour of the U.S. The London based band is a hit overseas and have proved the same here in the states.
The Wanted formed in 2009 when Jayne Collins (mastermind behind The Saturdays and Parade) held an audition. They were signed with Geffen Records, whose President, Colin Barlow, was looking for five young talented male singers to form a group. He found what he was looking for in Max George, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran.
They quickly got to work and collaborated with producers Guy Chambers, Taio Cruz and Steve Mac on their self-titled debut album. It was released in 2010 and produced three singles: “All Time Low”, “Heart Vacancy” and “Lose My Mind”. Their second album, Battleground was released in 2011 producing four singles including: “Gold Forever” (released in aid of Comic Relief), “Glad You Came”, “Lightning” and their current single, “Warzone”.
In 2011, they began their first theatre tour called The Behind Bars Tour, followed by their U.S. Tour in January and February of 2012 and then they jumped into #TheCode Tour which was their first arena tour visiting the UK and Ireland in February and March of 2012. The Wanted have also been the supporting act for select dates with Justin Bieber and Britney Spears in the past. Currently, they are going back and forth between the UK and US, promoting their EP release in the states. They are now working on their second US album (third for the UK) which they hope to release by the end of 2012. These guys are staking their ground in the music industry and we will probably see them do plenty more tours all over the world. Our review of their Los Angeles performance can be found here.
The Wanted are in a whirlwind of performances, press and award show events. They made their American TV debut on The Ellen DeGeneres show, performing their single, “Glad You Came.” Watch it here. Since then they have performed twice on Jay Leno, once on The Voice US and at the 2012 Billboard Awards. Their latest single, “Chasing The Sun” will be featured in Ice Age 4.
While they have the essence of a boy band, the music they are producing is not cheesy like boy bands of the 90s. The Wanted is edgier, catchier and real. They keep their music fresh by mixing up their sound in each track. It’s unpredictable and fun. But on top of that, what makes these guys so likeable is how genuine they are. Watching them on stage you can see their commodore and how much their fans mean to them. With The Wanted, what you see is what you get.
