MOVIE TRAILER: Wonder Woman 1984

The 80s are in full effect in the newly released trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. That is except for her costume, which remains the same, of course! We also learn that Chris Pine’s character is back—somehow. That should be an interesting story. Gal Gadot is looking fierce as ever. Leaving us to believe this release will be just as good as the original. We also have the new Cheetah character played by Kristen Wiig, who definitely has some Professor Trelawney vibes.  The trailer, clocking in at nearly 2 minutes and 30 seconds, leaves us wanting more, but naturally we have to wait until June 5, 2020. Not cool.

Movie Trailer: Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker

It feels like yesterday that The Last Jedi was released, but here we are with the trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. As the ninth Stars Wars film and the end of this trilogy, many of us are hoping for many of our questions to be answered, but the trailer leaves us wondering. It will also be interesting to see how they use all of the previously unused Carrie Fisher footage, but we will have to keep guessing until December 2019. In the meantime, the trailer above will have to hold us over.

MOVIE TRAILER – X-Men: Dark Phoenix

The trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix featuring Sophie Turner as Jean Grey has arrived. The trailer does a great job by showing us quite a bit, but at the same time giving us nothing. 20th Century Fox also released the official synopsis:

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Oh yeah, and we have to wait until February 14, 2019 to end the suspense. Check out the trailer above to hold you over until then!

MOVIE TRAILER – Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

A new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released at San Diego Comic-Con and it is EPIC. We get to see more of Dumbledore’s character during his younger years and it appears he is sending Newt Scamander on a mission similar to what he did later in life with Harry Potter. Can Dumbledore really not interfere or is he always sending others to do his bidding? We shall see in this new installment of Fantastic Beasts when it hits theaters on November 16, 2018.

MOVIE TRAILER: Sing

Animated movies keep getting better and better and Sing is no exception. A koala named Buster (voiced by Matthew McConaughey) is in danger of losing his theater, so in order to get more business he decides to hold a singing competition and the whole city is ready to get involved.

We already know how crazy people get over singing competitions in real life, so this animated movie is pretty spot on.  Plus, you can’t go wrong with Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Seth MacFarlane, Tori Kelly, Jay Pharoah, John C. Reily, Nick Offerman, Leslie Jones, and Nick Kroll voicing the characters.

MOVIE TRAILER: Sausage Party

Warning: Not for kids! Sausage Party is the first R-rated CG animated movie. Brought to you by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the movie is about a sausage, along with a group of grocery products, on a quest to discover the truth about their existence.

The film features the voices of Seth Rogen, James, Franco, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. Check out the trailer and don’t forget to leave the kids at home on August 12, 2016!

MOVIE TRAILER: POPSTAR – NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING

The Lonely Island aka Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone alongside Judd Apatow have presented us with a new film called POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING. An obvious and hilarious dig at Justin Bieber, but all for the sake of entertainment. Samberg plays the main role of Conner4Real, a popstar who needs a “village” of people to make him look “dope.”

There are a lot of familiar faces including: Simon Cowell, Sarah Silverman, Bill Hader, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Adam Levine, Snoop Dogg, Seal, Will Arnett and Martin Sheen to just name a few. The trailer says coming soon, but according to IMDB it will be released on June 3, 2016. Can’t wait for this masterpiece of comedy!

MOVIE TRAILER: Brooklyn

Brooklyn stars Saoirse Ronan in a 1950’s romantic drama set in both Ireland and New York. Ronan plays Ellis Lacey, an Irish immigrant, who has to choose between two guys she has fallen in love with and who happen to be in two different countries. Sounds complicated. Due out November 6, 2015. Watch the trailer above!

MOVIE TRAILER: The Intern

 At first the trailer for The Intern seems like a continuation of The Devil Wears Prada, but it’s not. Anne Hathaway plays Jules Ostin, who founded and runs an online fashion website. Robert De Niro plays a 70-year-old widower, Ben Whittaker, who becomes a senior intern at the fashion site. Hilarious, right? While it looks like it will have its funny moments, this is totally a feel good movie. It also stars Adam Devine, Nat Wolff and Anders Holm. In theaters September 25, 2015.

MOVIE TRAILER: Ricki and the Flash

Is there a character that Meryl Streep can’t play convincingly? Doesn’t look like it. She stars in Ricki and the Flash where she plays a rockstar who gave up everything to follow her dream. She returns home to try to make things right with her family–all of her children now being adults–and things are not going so well.

Her real life daugher, Mamie Gummer, plays her on-screen daughter in this comedy written by Diablo Cody. Director, Jonathan Demme said Streep studied guitar for months before six weeks of band rehearsal ahead of shooting. The playing, the singing and the stage presence was all her doing. This is Meryl Streep, I wouldn’t expect anything less. The film also stars Kevin Kline and Rick Springfield. In theaters August 7, 2015. Can’t wait!
