You Me At Six announced today that they will have to postpone their upcoming North American Tour that was to begin April 21st in Los Angeles. Lead singer, Josh Franceschi has been put on vocal rest for 4-6 weeks. The tour will be rescheduled for September 15th through October 20th. The Wanted have released the tracklisting for their highly anticipated new album, Word of Mouth. It will finally be released on November 4th, 2013 after being pushed back more than once (perfection doesn’t come easy!). The US version varies slightly from the European version in that we get “Glad You Came” (again) instead of “Love Sewn”. Why they did that, I’m not sure, but US fans will be scrambling to grab the other song somehow. You can find the the regular and deluxe tracklisting below.
The group also announced their Word of Mouth World Tour. UK band, Lawson has yet to officially break the U.S. music scene, but their new single, “Brokenhearted” featuring B.o.B. might be the answer. These guys know how to make a catchy single, but let me say that “Brokenhearted” is probably their best yet. The band filmed the video for the song in Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills home of Beyonce and Jay-Z. Not too shabby for a band who hasn’t even been on U.S. radio. You can pre-order the single on iTunes now and of course hit repeat on the video above.
There is a new extended trailer for the E! reality show, The Wanted Life which follows British (and Irish!) boyband, The Wanted. The show will begin airing on June 2nd of this year and will follow these five guys who sure seem to get into a lot of shenanigans. But let’s face it, that’s part of their charm. E! might have made the series a little more dramatic, but that won’t stop most of us from watching it! Also, be sure to listen to their new single, “Walks Like Rihanna” here.

British pop-rock band, Lawson released their video for “Learn To Love Again” this month. This is the fourth single off of their debut album, Chapman Square and just like the others I love this song. The video is a lot darker than most of their other videos, but otherwise it’s simple. The band has had their last three singles hit the top 10 on the UK charts and now Lawson is getting ready to embark on their mini-U.S. tour in January. For tour dates, go here.
China Rats, made up of Graeme Thomson (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Luke Smith (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Jedidiah Allcock (Bass/Vocals) and George Riley (Drums), got their big break when they got to play the European festival, BENICASSIM. Initially asked to play a smaller stage the day before, they were bumped up to the main stage when Bat for Lashes cancelled. This was a success for the band and the festival alike.
The rock band formed in Leeds in 2011 and released their debut EP To Be Like I on Once Upon A Time Records in UK. Now China Rats is set to release their U.S. debut single in March 2013 followed by a performance at SXSW. Not bad for a band who have only been around for a year.
Their track, “To Be Like I”, is definitely an attention getter. Watch the video for it below:
These UK bands keep coming out of nowhere lately. Here is The City Calls with their music video for “Meet in the Middle”. They remind me of one of my favs, Forever the Sickest Kids and classic New Found Glory. So if you’re fans of those bands you might want to see what these guys are all about.
