The Ready Set and Outasight? I knew this was a show I would not want to miss and I was right. I missed most of the opening acts, but I was able to catch 2AM Club and they just got a new fan out of me. They are definitely an up and coming band you want to check out. However, it was The Ready Set that I was dying to see.
The moment Jordan of the Ready Set stepped onstage it was obvious to everyone that he is a real entertainer. His energy on stage is crazy; jumping across the stage without skipping a beat. Oh, and let’s not forget his interaction with the crowd. He was constantly reaching out to fans and singing into the audience to the delight of everyone around him. I have no doubt he made their night one to remember. Another thing that was hard not to notice was his impeccable style: a collared black shirt with a flower design and a bow-tie. You can never go wrong with a bow-tie.
His set-list included (in no particular order): “Love is Like Woe”, “There Are Days”, “Hollywood Dream”, “Carry Me Home”, “For The Better”, “Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)”, “Young Forever”, “Soular Flares”, and “Killer”.
My two favorites have to be “Love is Like Woe” and “Young Forever” and they both got the biggest response. After listening and watching to the entire set I have now added a few more to the favorites list. He had to leave for NY right after his set, but he still managed to put on a great show without rushing it. Thinking about catching him live? Do it. It will go by so fast you’ll wonder where the time went.
Richard Andrew, otherwise known as Outasight, came on next. Everybody by now has heard his song, “Tonight Is The Night”. Aside from that hit and his new single, “I’ll Drink To That”, I wasn’t familiar with his songs. I can’t say any of the others caught my ear, but he kept the crowd amped until the end. He finished his set on a grand note with the smash hit, “Tonight Is The Night” and I think everyone in attendance would drink to that.
