Have you ever wondered about the life of Stephen Hawking? Then you will want to see The Theory of Everything because it looks GOOD. Eddie Redmayne (“Les Miserables”), who plays the theoretical physicist, has been creating major Oscar buzz.
The film is based on the memoir, Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, by Jane Hawking, Hawking’s first wife. She is portrayed by Felicity Jones (“The Amazing Spider-Man 2″) in the film. The story revolves around the romance between Hawking and Jane when they met in Cambridge and follows his early years, his prognosis and his accomplishments in academia. This looks like a tear-jerker and a good one at that. Take a look above for now! The film will be released November 7, 2014.
UK rock band, The Kooks have a new video performing their song “Forgive & Forget“, which was filmed at Hansa Studios. Although it is not an official single this song totally rocks. The track is off of their fourth upcoming new album Listen, which will be out September 2nd via Astralwerks. This will be the first album with new drummer, Alexis Nunez.
Ed Sheeran as a puppet you say?! That’s exactly what you will see in his new music video for the amazingly awesome single, “SING“. I just can’t get enough of this song and he just made it better with this super clever and funny video. The karaoke bar theme fits really well with the song lyrics and those Asian businessman were incredible. Pharrell also makes a cameo in the video since he contributed vocals and produced the track. The ending of the music video is classic. It is hands down one of my favorite videos this year. Watch the goodness above!
One of my fav boy bands, The Wanted, released a statement to their fans today stating that they are taking a break after their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour. Things were getting suspicious when most of the band members began other ventures (modeling, solo single, clothing company, etc) late last year, but the band evaded rumors until now. After releasing the statement, they took to their individual twitters to say that this is not the end. Only time will tell on that front.
In the meantime, they will soon be releasing the video for their newest single, “Glow in the Dark“, an electro-dance track that was, in my opinion, one of the best songs on Word of Mouth. Sigh. Good and bad news all in one. These guys put on an insane live show, so be sure to catch this last tour while you can.
Little Mix has won me over again with “Move“. I can’t deny them any longer. When they released “Wings” it was a guilty pleasure, but now I just have to admit it. I’m addicted to the catchy tunes. Granted, I was a huge Spice Girl fan back in the day, but since then girl pop-groups (I don’t include Destiny’s Child) haven’t really taken over the market. I thought The Saturdays were pretty cool, but they didn’t do as great in the US as I thought they would. Little Mix, however, I think has the potential to do really well here especially after Fifth Harmony has been causing a stir. Both groups are X-Factor alums (UK and US, respectfully) and it’s clear Simon Cowell knows what to do with girl groups.
Like “Wings”, “Move” has strong vocals and dance feels galore. Watch the video above and see if it doesn’t get you dancing—even just a little.
Word of Mouth

It took a long time, but finally the sophomore album (at least for the US) from The Wanted has arrived. The title, Word of Mouth fits the group perfectly since their popularity has grown through people telling their friends and family about them. This grass roots approach has earned them fans that stayed up all night to download the album the moment it was released digitally as well as fans who staged buy outs across the world. This dedication is in hopes of getting The Wanted to be the number one boy band in the world, but will Word of Mouth get them there? Continue Reading
The Wanted have released the tracklisting for their highly anticipated new album, Word of Mouth. It will finally be released on November 4th, 2013 after being pushed back more than once (perfection doesn’t come easy!). The US version varies slightly from the European version in that we get “Glad You Came” (again) instead of “Love Sewn”. Why they did that, I’m not sure, but US fans will be scrambling to grab the other song somehow. You can find the the regular and deluxe tracklisting below.
The group also announced their Word of Mouth World Tour. Tickets are on sale now and if you’re a Wanted World member you can get VIP tickets that include a meet and greet, details and tour dates here. If you don’t see your city, don’t worry just yet, the guys said they will continue to add more cities. Continue Reading
UK 2010 X-Factor winner, Matt Cardle has done quite well for himself if a platinum-selling debut album is any indication. His latest single, “Loving You” features none other than my favorite Spice Girl, Melanie C. He also co-produced the single with Jamie Scott and Toby Smith (ex-Jamiroquai) and plays guitar and drums on the track. Talk about being hands on.
Sporty Spice has an awesome voice and I enjoyed her duet with Bryan Adams. This time around the duet with Matt is just as UH-mazing. The song is great and the two have great on-screen chemistry. Take a look above!

Ed Sheeran, Grammy nominated artist and the newest of the British Invasion, graced Los Angeles with multiple shows this month. One of which was a free show at The Grove. Since it was a school day I figured it probably wouldn’t be as chaotic as it usually is, but I was wrong. I arrived at The Grove a good hour before the start time and saw the stage area fairly empty and thought this should be easy to catch. That was before we were told that the line for the show started outside on a side street and once I found that side-street I saw a line that went on and on and on. Of course the line would be ridiculous. It’s Ed Sheeran we’re talking about here. Silly me. Continue Reading
