It feels like yesterday that The Last Jedi was released, but here we are with the trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. As the ninth Stars Wars film and the end of this trilogy, many of us are hoping for many of our questions to be answered, but the trailer leaves us wondering. It will also be interesting to see how they use all of the previously unused Carrie Fisher footage, but we will have to keep guessing until December 2019. In the meantime, the trailer above will have to hold us over.

“We are going to be able to take the Super 8 footage that we found, that was all shot silent. We’ll not only be able to digitally repair a lot of that, but we’ve also been finding the original recordings. We can now sync it up and create a concert experience so immersive and so engaging, I believe you’re going to actually feel like you’re somewhere in the Sixties, seeing what it was like to be there, feeling it and hearing it. And as a film director, that’s a fantastic challenge.” -Ron Howard

An obvious and hilarious dig at Justin Bieber, but all for the sake of entertainment. Samberg plays the main role of Conner4Real, a popstar who needs a “village” of people to make him look “dope.”
There are a lot of familiar faces including: Simon Cowell, Sarah Silverman, Bill Hader, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Adam Levine, Snoop Dogg, Seal, Will Arnett and Martin Sheen to just name a few. I am shocked that I had not seen the trailer for Stoker before today. This movie looks all sorts of interesting. It’s a thriller from Park Chan-wook with a stellar cast, including: Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and Mia Wasikowska.
India’s (Wasikowska) father (Dermot Mulroney) suddenly dies in a tragic car accident. Her Uncle Charlie (Goode) moves in with her and her mother Evelyn (Kidman). She didn’t even know she had an uncle and her mother isn’t all that there—in the head. Strange things begin to happen after his arrival and soon she starts following him to see what he’s up to. But instead of getting freaked out she seems to be infatuated with him. Eery!
You have to watch the trailer to get the full effect though. So check it out above and if it piques your interest the flick is out on March 1st, 2013. Oh and get this…it was written by Wentworth Miller. Crazy.
Here comes, Beautiful Creatures, another young adult supernatural romance film adapted from the first novel in the best-selling series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This will get the obvious Twilight comparisons in many ways, but it’s not a rip off. Casting seems to be done in the same way though with two relatively unknown actors in lead roles. Even the lead actor was originally British (Jack O’Connell) until he was replaced right before filming began with Alden Ehrenreich. This was probably a good idea. The storyline follows Ethan (Ehrenreich), who is tired of living in the small southern town of Gatlin until new girl, Lena (Alice Englert) moves into town. They both are drawn to each other and soon discover dark secrets about the town and their own families. Considering the success of many paranormal romance books brought to film and television (Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, etc.), I’d say this will probably do well. The film also stars Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis and Emmy Rossum. Set to release on February 13, 2013.
