Semi Precious Weapons have been hinting at the dirty fucking showbiz their debut would bring and it is finally upon us! The band’s self-titled EP was the first taste of filthy glamour anthems like “Magnetic Baby” and “Put a Diamond In It”. The album, You Love You, is due out this June and was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Jack Joseph Puig (Green Day, Beck) and Semi Precious Weapons.
The record opens with front-man Justin Tranter howling, “Can’t pay my rent, but I’m fucking gorgeous!,” on the signature self-titled track, “Semi Precious Weapons.” “Sticky With Champagne” makes the party even wilder with it’s irresistible beat and driving riffs. The band throws a curveball with the piano-driven ballad “Leave Your Pretty To Me” which showcases their range and Tranter’s stunning vocals. The blazing riffs and repetitive chants of “Magnetic Baby” will turn any space into a dance-floor.
