TV SHOW TRAILER: Vinyl

 Wow! The new HBO show, Vinyl looks intense. Produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger and created by screenwriter, Terence Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street, Boardwalk Empire), this show is guaranteed to be crazy.

The series is set in the 1970’s New York music scene with a record label president, played by Bobby Cannavale, trying to save his company. Also starring in the series is Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano and Mick Jagger’s son, James Jagger, who plays a rocker.

Vinyl is set to premiere on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Check out the trailer above!

SHORT FILM: THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS – ‘City of Angels’

THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS released a short film called City of Angels that was directed by their front man, Jared Leto. The video features Alan Cumming, Ashley Olsen, Corey Feldman, James Franco <3, Juliette Lewis, Kanye West, Lily Collins, Lindsay Lohan, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez, Shaun White, and Steve Nash. Along with all of those celebrities, there are interviews with hopeful stars—in particular, Hollywood Blvd street performers. Each interview is heartfelt and everyone discusses how Los Angeles has made their dreams come true and for some, has shattered them.

I loved everything about this and not just because I live in LA. From the great group of people featured to how beautifully they captured the cityscape of Los Angeles, all the while weaving in their song, “City of Angels”,  everything represented the city perfectly. I hope they consider making more of these and Jared should really continue directing. Whether you’re a fan of L.A. or not, this is a cool video to watch.

This year was my first attending San Diego Comic-Con and it was a phenomenal experience. I won’t lie; I’ve been dying to go for years, but had a difficult time finding anyone who would admit to having an inner geek. So I read up online for tips and talked to a few veterans about what I could expect. For the most part everything I learned prior to going was dead on. I stayed with a friend, who is a local, which definitely had its perks.

TRON LEGACY hits theaters on December 17th, 2010

FIRST WAVE OF “TEEN CHOICE 2010” NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

Pop sensation and multi-platinum recording artist Katy Perry is set to host TEEN CHOICE 2010 airing Monday, Aug. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Grammy-nominated artist will also perform during the 12^th annual special that celebrates the year’s hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. “Iron Man 2” and “Gossip Girl” lead the TEEN CHOICE 2010 nominees with six nominations each, while GLEE and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” each garnered five nominations.

Fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2010 nominees at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Performers, presenters and additional nominees will be announced soon.

Preliminary Panel Line Up for Comic Con 2010: Glee, Bones, Dexter, True Blood and More

It’s almost that time where geeks start freaking out over what panels will be present at Comic Con. If that’s you, get your schedules ready. The shows/movies below are the preliminary panel line up for SDCC 2010. We will be adding more once they are confirmed.

RED: (Thursday, July 22nd 2:15-3:15 / Hall H) Stars Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, and Mary Louise Parker join director Robert Schwentke and Red’s graphic novel writer Warren Ellis as they debut the final trailer exclusively to Comic-Con 2010, before it’s ever in theaters, and answer questions about bringing this well known D.C. Comics graphic novel to the big screen. Based on the graphic novel by Ellis, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren star in this explosive action-comedy in which former CIA top agents become the Agency’s top targets because of the secrets they know.

Tron Legacy: (Thursday, July 22nd 11:15 / Hall H) On the dais will be filmmakers and talent from the film, including director Joe Kosinski, producers Sean Bailey and Steven Lisberger as wells as cast members Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and Bruce Boxleitner. The panel discussion, to be moderated by Patton Oswalt, is set to include exclusive glimpses of the film, as well as a Q & A involving all panel participants, along with special surprise guests.

Drive Angry 3D: (Friday, July 23rd 10:30-11:00 / Hall H) In a Comic-Con exclusive, stars of the film including Nicolas Cage and Amber Heard as well as director Patrick Lussier will debut footage from the high-octane, blood-spattered road trip through hell. In this newest action horror shot in 3D, a vengeful father hunts down the people who brutally killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby.
