We got to chat with new UK artist, Jake Bugg. He released his self-titled album on Mercury Records and it has since gone #1 on the UK charts. He has toured with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Snow Patrol. His music can be described as indie rock mixed with folk. Check out his fifth single, “Two Fingers” which is out now. Next up, Jake will release his record here in the states. Keep your ears out for it.
Check out “Don’t Stop” by Electric Touch, the rock band from Austin, TX. Interestingly enough, their lead singer is British (originally from Nottingham), but relocated to Texas where he met the rest of the band. These guys have toured with The Bravery (<3) and Airborne Toxic Event and have played Coachella, Bonnaroo, SXSW, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits festival among other renowned music festivals. So why haven’t we heard more about these guys?? I honestly don’t know how they have been floating under the radar. Their vibe is similar to The Killers, The Bravery and maybe a twinge of Oasis. Don’t miss out on Electric Touch, watch the video above and discover a new awesome band.
Meet the UK-based guitar rock band, Viva Brother. Their sound is a mixture of Oasis and Blur, but the band is also influenced by The Smiths and The Rolling Stones. They’re signed to A&M/Octone Records, also home to Maroon 5, and released their full-length debut, FAMOUS FIRST WORDS last August. Watch their video for “Darling Buds of May” above and if you like what you hear be sure to check out videos from their tour with UK indie-rockers, The Wombats here.
