Maroon 5 have a new edgy single called, “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt Like A Motherf****r.” The track is definitely different from their usual sound, but it has a nice chill flow for the summer. At first listen you might be on the fence, but after a few more times it grows on you. This theme plus Maroon 5 equals a summer hit! Check it out for yourself above.
By now you have probably seen the music video for Maroon 5‘s “Sugar“, but at the time you probably thought the band actually crashed these weddings (If you believed reports). Adam Levine discussed how stressful it was to arrange the shoot, but that it felt good to make people happy.
Only the grooms knew in each case, a rep for Maroon 5 told ET. However they disclosed it to their bride and the wedding party, we’re not sure, but they all wanted it to be as equally a surprise as we did. They had stages set up for their actual wedding band already. All we did was some simple continuity changes to match each one as best we could.
Yet it seems that two of the people in the video are actors and recently posted on their Facebook page that the video was indeed staged. Another revelation was that one of the brides is actually Raina Hein, a former contestant of America’s Next Top Model. She confirmed it was her in the video via her Twitter page. But really, does it matter? The video, regardless if it was real or not, was an awesome concept and at least we can see what it could possibly look like if our favorite band crashed some weddings.
Maroon 5 announced they will be releasing their highly anticipated fifth studio album, titled V. The album will drop on September 2, 2014 on Interscope Records, who they recently signed with. The first single will be released in the summer. The band has also signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation with tour dates coming soon.
The guys recorded the album in LA the past year and it features some amazing producers including: Max Martin (Yay!), Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder (Yay, again!), Shellback and Sam Martin. Long-time keyboardist Jesse Carmichael is also back after having taken a hiatus while the band recorded 2012’s Overexposed.
