Ellen DeGeneres starts her own record label, signs Greyson Chance @theellenshow @greysonchance

Despite reports that Interscope had snatched up Greyson Chance, it seems that Ellen won the race. Ellen will be making a HUGE announcement on today’s show. She has formed her own record label called eleveneleven that is being set up in collaboration with Telepictures Productions with Greyson being her first artist.

“Greyson … inspired me to start a record label called eleveneleven. He is my first artist and we are making a record together,” DeGeneres said in a statement released on Tuesday.

DeGeneres said she will continue to use her show as a platform to find new artists.

Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager, and Troy Carter, Lady Gaga’s manager, have signed on to co-manage Chance.

Interscope Records signs YouTube Sensation, Greyson Chance?

Move over, Justin Bieber there’s a new kid on the scene and he’s only 12 years old. If you haven’t seen his cover of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi on YouTube, check it out above. The video took place at a sixth grade music festival in his hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma. He has since appeared on Ellen and now reports are saying he was quickly signed to Interscope Records as many major record labels were interested in meeting him. Though this has not been confirmed it would be a very smart move as the internet buzz is massive over this incredible singer. For more information on Greyson, check out his first fan site.
