2018 Vans Warped Tour Lineup Announced

The Vans Warped Tour presented by Journeys announced their lineup for 2018. Founder, Kevin Lyman, announced last year that this will be the final full cross-country run of the tour. So this is the year to catch the tour and reminisce all the good times!

Early Bird Tickets, as well as Super Fan Bundles, are on sale now and can be purchased at www.vanswarpedtour.com. The first 500 tickets sold for each show will be at the lowest price available and will include a digital download of the Official Vans Warped Tour 50-song compilation.

General admission tickets will be available starting Thursday, March 8th.

The 38-date tour will commence June 21st in Pomona, CA and end on August 5th in West Palm, FL.

EMO NIGHT LA: TAKING BACK TUESDAY Announce 2016 Tour Dates

If you remember the good old days of emo music then you need to catch this tour. Emo Night LA: Taking Back Tuesday has announced their 2016 tour dates. The monthly event in Los Angeles will start back up again in February 2016.

Emo Night is a monthly event that features emo rock music from the 90’s, 2000’s, and today. From the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Saves The Day, New Found Glory  to Sunny Day Real Estate and Death Cab For Cutie.

What’s even better is that each month, a different musician from the scene guest DJs at the event! Previous DJs include: Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance, Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat of All Time Low, Marko DeSantis of Sugarcult, and Jesse Mack Johnson of Motion City Soundtrack among others. Acoustic performances have been known to happen as well (Dashboard Confessional, The Used, The Movielife).

This was my very first time attending KROQ’s Weenie Roast y Fiesta. I had always wanted to attend, but the lineups were never perfect enough for me—until this year. Even if I was sold with Muse, the addition of Panic! at the Disco, AWOLNATION, Death Cab and X Ambassadors had me really excited. I already knew that Florence and the Machine and All Time Low were great live and the other acts were all bands I wanted to hear more from.

The pre-show was a smaller stage divided into two in order to switch back and forth with little setup time in between. First up was X Ambassadors. I heard these guys when their song, “Renegade” was featured on a few commercials and since then they have been promoted everywhere. They played that track along with “When I Was Free,” “Love Songs Drug Songs,” “Unsteady,” “Naked,” and “Jungle,” which was covered by the Pitch Perfect 2 cast for an NBA playoff promo. They put on a great, but short set. They have an awesome sound, great energy and I am looking forward to the next time I can see them.

E! Releases Extended Trailer for The Wanted Life Starring Boyband, The Wanted [@thewanted]

There is a new extended trailer for the E! reality show, The Wanted Life which follows British (and Irish!) boyband, The Wanted. The show will begin airing on June 2nd of this year and will follow these five guys who sure seem to get into a lot of shenanigans. But let’s face it, that’s part of their charm. E! might have made the series a little more dramatic, but that won’t stop most of us from watching it! Also, be sure to listen to their new single, “Walks Like Rihanna” here.

Mayday Parade to Release New Album in Fall 2013 [@Mayday_Parade]

Mayday Parade has announced plans to head into the studio to record their fourth album to be released sometime in fall 2013 on Fearless Records. Drummer, Jake Bundrick, released the following statement: “The band will start writing for our new record this month and will be releasing it later this year with Fearless Records. Fearless has always been family to us and we’re really happy to have that again. Exciting times!”

Until then, catch them on tour with All Time Low beginning in April. Dates below.

Finally something new from one of my favorite underrated bands, It Boys! Since our chat with them two years ago they have signed with Hollywood Waste Records, played Warped Tour and are now on tour in the UK. This video is for their song, “Start The Party” which features David Schmitt from Breathe Carolina. I love Breathe Carolina and the song is just as the title says, it starts the party. The video features the band at an out of control house party with cameos from Jack Barakat of All Time Low and The Sexy Sax Man. I’ve never heard of The Sexy Sax Man until now, but David seemed pretty psyched about him… At least that’s what he was telling the cop who was ready to bust the party. This show was on Halloween and knowing how these guys are I knew were all going to be in for a surprise. Most of the people that attended didn’t wear a costume, but lucky for us most of the bands did. I caught the end of The Summer Set who were all dressed as Disney characters. After their last song, the crowd eagerly awaited All Time Low.

Alex, Jack, Zack and Rian came out dressed as Jack Skellington, Batman (Adam West style), a wrestler (don’t ask me which), and himself, respectively. They jumped right into the music and the constant stage banter between Alex and Jack in between songs definitely added a comical element to their show.

The best part though is Alex’s awesome vocals. Song after song you get lost in his voice until a bra is thrown on stage and you’re kicked back into reality. I also love the energy that they exude. These guys are constantly moving and jumping all over the place with the crowd responding in kind. But let’s face it; these guys have a cult following, so it’s only natural that all of those in attendance are enthusiastic and know every single lyric.

Yellowcard Set to Release New Album, Southern Air on August 14th

YELLOWCARD announced the official pre-sale of their new album, Southern Air that began on June 20th. You can pre-order your copy at Hopelessrecords.com/yellowcard. The band released a statement saying, “For the first 48 hours, our new music video for ‘Always Summer’ will be streaming exclusively on the Hopeless site! Hope you like it! Enjoy.” Limited edition merchandise will be bundled with each purchase.

The band is currently touring on the Vans Warped Tour and Southern Air will be officially released via Hopeless Records on August 14, 2012. Southern Air was produced by Neal Avron and features guest vocals from Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday), and Tay Jardine (We Are The In Crowd).

YELLOWCARD just released “ALWAYS SUMMER”, their first single from the upcoming album due out later this Summer. With a new lineup (Josh Portman fills in for departing bassist Sean O’Donnell), Yellowcard has been collaborating with longtime producer Neal Avron.
