The last time that I saw 311 was three years ago on their Unity Tour and they were amazing. This time, they were playing two shows at The Roxy before they went on their Caribbean Cruise. As you can imagine 311 playing a show at a smaller venue is insanely unheard of, but luckily quite a few bands have been jumping in on this trend. No complaints here. Continue Reading

On January 29th, 2013 Music World Entertainment/Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings will release Destiny’s ChildLove Songs. The album is comprised of romantic songs recorded between 1997 and 2004 and it sounds like it if the first single, “Nuclear” is anything to judge by. Not sure I’m still digging that sound, but maybe it’ll grow on me. “Nuclear” is the first new single from the group since 2004. It was produced by Pharrell Williams, who co-wrote the track with DC’s Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal and also features vocal production by Beyoncé and Lonny Bereal. Definitely not the usual hit making sounds we have heard from Destiny’s Child in the past, but have a listen and decide for yourself.

I’ve been dying to watch Now You See Me ever since the trailer played for audiences before the last Twilight film. Summit Entertainment seems to know what it’s all about these days. Featuring a stellar cast, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and my fav, Dave Franco, this flick is something to look forward to. It looks kind of like Ocean’s Eleven mixed with The Illusionist. The tricks look well done and the plot is intriguing. With the aforementioned cast, I’m sold. But unfortunately for all us, we can’t catch it in theaters until June 7, 2013. Sad face.
