3OH!3 had their Omens CD release show at The Roxy in Los Angeles on June 17th and to say it was exhilarating doesn’t give it justice.
The duo are back with their fourth release featuring fifteen classic 3OH!3 electro-pop tracks. They have already released four of those songs as singles including: “You’re Gonna Love This”, “Youngblood”, “Do or Die” and “Back to Life”. Although most people in attendance had already listened to the entire album already (it was available to stream online starting in May), it was the live experience they were looking forward to. For $3.03 (creative, right?), I would have to say we all got a bargain.
The crowd began chanting, “3OH!3” and throwing up the corresponding hand gesture and finally 3OH!3 made their appearance on stage. They jumped into a medley of all the tracks on Omens and after they finished they joked that it was the end of their show. They then reminded the audience that the ticket was after all, $3.03. For that dirt cheap price we were all treated to a really long set, but it flew by quickly.
These guys were simply awesome to see. They had the right energy, they genuinely interacted with the crowd and they sounded amazing. It was cool to see all the fans throw up their “3OH!3” hand signs and sing all the words to their songs. The duo was thrilled by it and kept encouraging the response throughout the show.
The tracklisting for Omens includes: “Omens”, “Eyes Closed”, “You’re Gonna Love This”, “Black Hole”, “Make It Easy”, “Youngblood”, “Live for the Weekend”, “Back to Life”, “Hungover”, “Two Girlfriends”, “Do or Die”, “Slow Motion”, “Go Fuck Yourself”, “New Girl”, and “I’ve Become”. They also performed crowd favorites, “Don’t Trust Me”, “My First Kiss”, “Colorado Sunshine”, and “Don’t Dance”.
3OH!3 are a must-see concert! If you’re already a fan or just a fan of electro-pop you need to check them out on their remaining dates on this year’s Warped Tour.
