Believe Acoustic

Ever since he released his single, “Boyfriend”, Justin Bieber has continued to impress me. Believe was hands down one of the most well-written and produced albums of 2012. Grammy snub aside, he has proven to be a worthy contender in this generations group of musical artists. Believe Acoustic continues his evolvement as an artist and exposes him to newly found fans.
The best parts of acoustic arrangements are that they focus on the vocals and give a laid-back feel to each song. Justin’s voice has matured since his “Baby” days and the end result is…well, you wouldn’t believe it was him at first listen (unless you’re a die-hard fan of course). His fans have all bought the album without even thinking twice, but for the newly converted or the curious I can tell you this is a no brainer buy.
Believe Acoustic contains eleven tracks including three of his biggest hits, “Boyfriend”, “As Long As You Love Me” and “Beauty And A Beat” and two of my favorite tracks from Believe, “She Don’t Like The Lights” and “All Around The World”. While they are all the same song he still manages to make them feel completely different, but it works so well. I still can’t figure out if I like the original or the acoustic versions better. All I know is that I have had Believe Acoustic on replay for days and will continue to do so for awhile.
On top of the eight tracks from Believe, he has included three new songs which we all know are for Selena Gomez. They are heartfelt and the perfect addition to the lineup. I also heard he actually plays guitar on the album as well; although I’m not sure to what extent. But if this is the case, I think we would all love to see him sing AND play on stage. I’m pretty sure that would get a lot of the naysayers to shut their pie-holes. Right?
Believe Acoustic is now one of my favorite acoustic albums especially since every track is phenomenal. It’s always nice to find a record where you don’t have to skip any songs and this is one of them. If Justin continues on this path of his musical journey then I’ll definitely continue to Believe.
The full track-listing includes (in order): “Boyfriend”, “As Long As You Love Me”, “Beauty And A Beat”, “She Don’t Like The Lights”, “Take You”, “Be Alright”, “All Around The World”, “Fall”, “Yellow Raincoat”, “I Would” and “Nothing Like Us”.
