The Rubblebucket‘s music video for “Came Out of a Lady” was shot with a budget under $2,000 and was completely (design, building, sewing, etc.) done by the band. Kalmia Traver, the band’s lead singer, spent the month of June sewing the fabric together in her backyard in Crown Heights. The song was written and recorded in a day at The Kaufman Astoria Studios. You can watch a short doc that Masters of Their Day did on the recording process here.
The band is currently recording their next full-length with Eric Broucek (!!!, Holy Ghost, Hercules and Love Affair) at DFA Studios in Manhattan, and it should be released in early 2011. The band released their latest EP The Triangular Daisies EP on Oct. 19th on Sin Duda Records.
