Glam. Rock. Insanity. That is what comes to mind when listening to You Love You from Semi Precious Weapons. Produced by Jack Joseph Puig (The Rolling Stones, Beck, Green Day) along with Executive Producer Lady Gaga, You Love You is in your face unapologetic rock and roll at its core.

Semi Precious Weapons kick it off right with the infectious track, “Semi Precious Weapons”. They make being broke and getting evicted seem glamorous with this gritty high powered single that has become their signature number.  “Put A Diamond In It” is an equally energized track that will be stuck in your head for days (and days). “Magnetic Baby” has an aggressive and rebellious punk rock feel that will no doubt be a crowd pleaser. The intimate ballads “Leave Your Pretty To Me” and “Look At Me” show the diversity of the band by taking it down a couple of notches. They can go from wreaking havoc in your living room to saying sensual nothings into your ear.

SPW are reminiscent of the Sex Pistols and David Bowie, but with extra flair and a stronger, hypnotic aura. The guys have absolutely no censorship and you will love that honesty. But don’t mistake them as some gimmick because while they are eccentric they also have immense talent. In fact, the guys met while in school at the Berklee School of Music. Didn’t see that one coming, did ya?

Their narcissistic and brash lyrics, “It’s not my fault I look better in her party dress”, “Who wants my baby?” and of course, the soon to be classic, “I can’t pay my rent, but I’m fucking gorgeous,” contribute to the bands unparalleled presence. You Love You is addicting with its thrashing anthems, Tranter’s larger than life vocals, and maniacal guitar riffs that are sure to leave you feeling naughty after a listen.
