A free One Republic concert? Thank you very much Jimmy Kimmel, don’t mind if I do. One Republic is one of the hottest bands in the industry right now and catching them live can either be quite pricey for most or impossible for some. But Jimmy Kimmel Live has taken care of that with their outdoor mini concert series that gives fans a chance to see some of their favorite artists up and close at no cost. The ticket process can be a matter of luck, but once you got those you are set to go.

One Direction had a contest to bring 1D to your town and Los Angeles was one of the winners. The Ellen Show ended up hosting the gigantic event with 5,000 ticketed attendees. This was a sweet deal for Directioners who haven’t been able to nab any of the pricey tickets to their tour dates at The Staple Center. It’s free, you see them fairly close and you get some free swag. Then again, that’s the only way Ellen rolls.

The 97.1 AMP Radio Halloween Masquerade sold-out within 10 minutes of tickets going on-sale. I can’t say that’s very surprising when you have Ellie Goulding, Psy and Rita Ora performing, but those who missed out had a good reason to shed tears for hours.

I got my tickets confirmed for the show the day before—talk about last minute. But since I have heard good things about Perez Hilton’s concerts-slash-events, I figured it would be worth it. The 2010 “One Night in Los Angeles” took place at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on September 11, 2010.

When I arrived, there was a massive line waiting to get in and Perez Hilton was walking by with a camera crew talking about the event. People seemed excited, but were getting anxious to get in after hours of waiting in line in what turned out to be a cold night. On September 10, 2010, I arrived at The Music Box in Hollywood. Upon entering the venue, I felt transformed back to the 90s as DJ Scribble spun. He turned the house into an Abercrombie and Fitch store and that is not a compliment. Not long after everyone piled in, the festivities began: the battle for The Best Breakout LA Artist VMA. The Semi Precious Weapons Los Angeles After Party took place at the Mondrian in West Hollywood on August 11, 2010. I did not attend their show earlier in the evening, but was looking forward to seeing what these guys were all about. This year was my first attending San Diego Comic-Con and it was a phenomenal experience. I won’t lie; I’ve been dying to go for years, but had a difficult time finding anyone who would admit to having an inner geek. So I read up online for tips and talked to a few veterans about what I could expect. For the most part everything I learned prior to going was dead on. I stayed with a friend, who is a local, which definitely had its perks.
