The newest teaser trailer for Catching Fire, the second installment of The Hunger Games trilogy, has arrived. It’s a little over two minutes long and…it’s good. See for yourself above! Catching Fire will be released on November 22, 2013.
The Ready Set and Outasight? I knew this was a show I would not want to miss and I was right. I missed most of the opening acts, but I was able to catch 2AM Club and they just got a new fan out of me. They are definitely an up and coming band you want to check out. However, it was The Ready Set that I was dying to see. Continue Reading

The last time that I saw 311 was three years ago on their Unity Tour and they were amazing. This time, they were playing two shows at The Roxy before they went on their Caribbean Cruise. As you can imagine 311 playing a show at a smaller venue is insanely unheard of, but luckily quite a few bands have been jumping in on this trend. No complaints here. Continue Reading
I am shocked that I had not seen the trailer for Stoker before today. This movie looks all sorts of interesting. It’s a thriller from Park Chan-wook with a stellar cast, including: Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and Mia Wasikowska.
India’s (Wasikowska) father (Dermot Mulroney) suddenly dies in a tragic car accident. Her Uncle Charlie (Goode) moves in with her and her mother Evelyn (Kidman). She didn’t even know she had an uncle and her mother isn’t all that there—in the head. Strange things begin to happen after his arrival and soon she starts following him to see what he’s up to. But instead of getting freaked out she seems to be infatuated with him. Eery!
You have to watch the trailer to get the full effect though. So check it out above and if it piques your interest the flick is out on March 1st, 2013. Oh and get this…it was written by Wentworth Miller. Crazy.
Ed Sheeran, Grammy nominated artist and the newest of the British Invasion, graced Los Angeles with multiple shows this month. One of which was a free show at The Grove. Since it was a school day I figured it probably wouldn’t be as chaotic as it usually is, but I was wrong. I arrived at The Grove a good hour before the start time and saw the stage area fairly empty and thought this should be easy to catch. That was before we were told that the line for the show started outside on a side street and once I found that side-street I saw a line that went on and on and on. Of course the line would be ridiculous. It’s Ed Sheeran we’re talking about here. Silly me. Continue Reading
Six very long years later and the Fall Out Boy hiatus has officially come to an end. Collective sighs were heard all over the world and the race to buy tickets to three come-back shows was on when the guys made the announcement on February 4th, 2013. Of course the shows went on to sell-out within seconds of going on sale. So I was not surprised when I encountered mayhem outside The Roxy on the day of the Los Angeles show. Continue Reading
Ever since he released his single, “Boyfriend”, Justin Bieber has continued to impress me. Believe was hands down one of the most well-written and produced albums of 2012. Grammy snub aside, he has proven to be a worthy contender in this generations group of musical artists. Believe Acoustic continues his evolvement as an artist and exposes him to newly found fans. Olly Murs has been on my wish list of concerts to see for awhile now. He’s been going back and forth from the UK to the US for promotional work, but hasn’t had any official gigs until now. Continue Reading
