Strung Out Announces TWISTED IN A SUBURBAN WASTELAND North American Summer Tour

STRUNG OUT are preparing to get Twisted In A Suburban Wasteland throughout the US and Canada this summer. They’ll be performing all of their songs from both 1996’s Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues and 1998’s Twisted By Design.  Such Gold, Handguns, and The Darlings will be supporting. Tour dates below. Yellowcard’s Newest Single, “Always Summer” Now Available on iTunes

YELLOWCARD just released “ALWAYS SUMMER”, their first single from the upcoming album due out later this Summer. With a new lineup (Josh Portman fills in for departing bassist Sean O’Donnell), Yellowcard has been collaborating with longtime producer Neal Avron. The track streams exclusively on Absolutepunk.net here.

Their upcoming album is set for release this summer and features guest vocals from Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday), and Tay Jardine (We Are The In Crowd). You can download the track now here.

MUSIC VIDEO: WOLFGANG GARTNER GETS ANIMATED FOR NEW “REDLINE” VIDEO

Electronic music producer and DJ Wolfgang Gartner has transformed into a cartoon version of himself for the music video of his latest single, “Redline”. Created by New Media DNA, with director Eric Damier and lead animator Jose Cubero. The video is like watching a short animated film that has a modernistic/spacey theme, but features Wolfgang’s cartoon version doing what he does best—blowing it up for a massive crowd. If there ever was a band that made every interview entertaining it would be The Wanted. The guys in this UK-based boy band  hold nothing back and they are just themselves. I have watched plenty of their interviews and I can’t get enough. I look forward to the day I get to sit down and talk with them. NEW MUSIC: New York Duo MS MR Premieres the Video for Their First Single, “Hurricane”

MS MR makes an impact with their first single, “Hurricane” which is available for download on soundcloud. They will release the 7” single in July via IAMSOUND Records  Pitchfork recently premiered the music video for it (above) and it has been compared to Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” video (however, in my opinion it’s much better). They will be going on tour with Marina & The Diamonds this July and August throughout the US, tour dates below. With a sound of pop mixed with some soul MS MR has a sound all their own.

MUSIC VIDEO: The Wanted – “Chasing The Sun”

Although the video has been out for almost a month, it still deserves to get its own post. Here’s the latest music video from the UK-based boy band, The Wanted for their single, “Chasing The Sun“. It’s directed by Director X who has directed music videos for many top artists in the industry including Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” music video. The cinematography and styling is very dark and edgy which fits with the band, but above all the song is the best part. Check it out for yourself up top.

MUSIC VIDEO: Six60 – “Forever”

Here’s an electro-pop group from New Zealand that blends soul, rock, dub step and drum and bass. Six60 are huge in their home country and are ready to take on the states. The band already has a double platinum debut album including the double platinum selling singles “Rise Up 2.0” and “Don’t Forget Your Roots.”  Check out the band’s track, “Forever” above and see if you can compare their sound to anyone.

MUSIC VIDEO: Zander Bleck – “Temptation”

Introducing Zander Bleck with the music video for his debut single “Temptation“. “Temptation” was written by Zander and Holly Knight (Heart, Tina Turner and Pat Benatar) and was the song that got the attention of producer RedOne (Lady Gaga, Usher). “Temptation” is the first single off MONUMENT, which will be released later this year on Interscope Records. You might have caught him on stage opening up for the likes of David Cook and The Wanted. Zander definitely has a sound like The Bravery and The Killers, so if you’re into them (which you should be) then check out the video above.

MUSIC VIDEO: Justin Bieber – “Boyfriend”

After the teaser trailer that aired on The Voice US, the official complete music video for Justin Bieber‘s single, “Boyfriend” is finally here. I absolutely love the song, but the first thought of the video was this reminds me a lot of Justin Timberlake’s  music video for “Like I Love You”.  This seems to be a common thing with Director X who has done music videos for huge names like Usher, Nicki Minaj, Kanye, Jay-Z, Rihanna, David Guetta, Drake, you get the point. He has also directed multiple videos for The Wanted. Most recently for their new single, “Chasing The Sun” which has a very similar theme to the music video for “Tired of Being Sorry” by Enrique Iglesias. Similar video themes aside, the dancing was pretty cool. Would of  been thrilled to see the Biebs do more of that. Also, might be nice to actually cast people who are relatively the same age as the artist otherwise it looks a bit awkward. Just sayin’.
